1- What is the National Integrity System?

• The National Integrity System is a holistic framework that includes a set of pillars representing the basic principles and ethical and professional standards which are achieved through legislation, organizational structure of institutions, functional institutional capacity and the prevalent culture.
• The integrity system is based on a number of key pillars: The rule of law and law enforcement, flexible separation and balance between the constitutional powers, freedom of expression, participation in decision-making, state institutions are public assets that shall not be infringed upon, citizens' right to be kept abreast regarding the performance of public institutions, equality and equal opportunities, justice, accountability and complementary work of the three constitutional powers.
•  The responsibility of implementing the integrity system is shared by all: the executive, legislative and judicial powers, the media, private sector institutions and civil society. They should all operate within an integrated system and in coordination with each other to ensure the highest degree of integrity and transparency in all spheres of public life.
